As the countdown on the 2012 clock continues there seems to be a shift in attitudes. Most of the doom-and-gloom soothsayers have quietly disappeared and more people likeLisa Barretta are stepping forward to talk about the metaphysical changes on the horizon. Barretta appeared during the first half of Coast to Coast AM on Thursday, June 14, 2012, to discuss the coming change in consciousness.
Lisa Barretta, psychic reader, certified Reiki practitioner, and author of "The Book of Transformation: Open Yourself to Psychic Evolution, the Rebirth of the World, and the Empowering Shift Pioneered by the Indigos". began studying diviniation and astrology at the age of 14 while honing her own psychic skills.

Barretta explained that this shift in consciousness actually began about 3 or 4 years ago when the planet Pluto crossed the galactic center. To astrologists, Pluto is the planet that signifies transformation and Barretta notes that themortgage meltdown and the stock market crash occurred at roughly this same time.
This astrological event has brought on a shift in consciousness here on Earth. According to Barretta, people are no longer so concerned about material possessions and we're more concerned about fighting corruption and getting rid of things or ideas we no longer want to tolerate.

Barretta believes that the astrological changes occurring this year are having a tremendous effect on the electromagnetic fields that surround each one of us. Each planet or star has it's own frequency and when you're born under the aspects of certain signs that frequency is actually encoded in your DNA. As the planets and stars are realigning in space the energy directed at each of us will also change and as it reacts with our own electromagnet fields it will bring on a transformation in consciousness.
According to Barretta, “The frequency from these stars is actually going to enhance our own electromagnetic field.”
“Astrology is a guide that helps you realize certain things about yourself and once you have this realization you can refine your own frequency and maybe shift up a notch or so.”
Barretta says that this change in consciousness will vary. “It depends on how open you are to the frequencies and transformation as to how much it will affect you.”
According to Barretta, if you open yourself up to these new energies and new frequencies you're going to be more in touch with your inherent psychic abilities. “It's going to be up to the individual whether they want to ascend or not.”
